Default May I please borrow a firearm?

Long story short, the Philadelphia PD illegally confiscated my handgun this weekend. In the meantime, as I try to get everything rolling to get it back and I talk to a lawyer, would anyone in the PAFOA community be willing to temporarily lend me a handgun? I've gotten so used to having one on my left hip in the past several months, and I feel naked and somewhat vulnerable with my only firearm having essentially been stolen from me.

Beggars can't be choosers, but the only caveat with me is that I am left-handed. If you are so kind as to allow me to borrow one, I'll make sure it is kept in tip-top shape and you may find it returned to you with additional ammunition or accessories. Also, I will get you drunk as a return favor, lol.

Anyway, PM me or bring it up in here if you'd be interested. Thanks, everyone - the support that's being shown here for the issues I am facing right now is humbling and honoring.

The thread with limited info about the incident in question is located here: ( http://forum.pafoa.org/open-carry-14...d-conceal.html ) Only so much info is available right now because there may be legal repercussions that I need to prepare for.

What model weapon was the gun that they confiscated?

I thought really hard bout lend you my LCP, but i can't get over the fact that i don't know you, even tho you have really high rep. If you set up a gun fund via pay pal, i'll send you 20.00 bucks, get a few more ppl to send you money and there you have it. once you get your gun back, sell the gun and donate the money.

I don't think he can/will/should until after he speaks to his lawyer. There is another thread about this going on. I will post the link shortly.

It was a Ruger P85 - chambered in 9mm. I posted a link to the incident in the OP.

I completely understand, my friend. A friend and I were discussing this as an option, but until I speak to another lawyer who won't tell me that this whole thing is my fault because I OC'd in Philly, no fundraising effort would seem appropriate.

    I have a 9mm. SA XD

I'd be open to letting you borrow it but

    1. It's weird cause I don't know you
    2. I treat all my possessions like children
    3. There is a standing chance you get my firearm taken from you, lmao

Lemme think about it, although you did find my weak spot.... Free drinks

Does this promise include that it won't end up in the custody of PPD?

Unfortunately, I am very short on handguns. I could spare one for a close friend in an emergency but that would put me at a disadvantage. I don't consider my only extra handgun to be reliable enough for self defense. Good luck.

I would never ask anyone to do something like this unless they were fully comfortable with it. I've been to a couple of gatherings/meet-and-greets and a few people here know me personally, but I have only been around since February, so I totally get this.

Yes. Until this issue gets resolved, I will not be OCing in Philly.

    Also, I agree with you.

In the event someone is able to lend you any of the Springfield Armory XD pistols, I have a BlackHawk Serpa OWB Level 2 retention holster for left-hand carry that I am not using.

Downside is that it does not conceal real well, but you could probably hide it under an untucked and loose shirt.

    Just throwing it out there.
