Do I need a license/permit to buy Ammo in PA?
Hey all. I am a Massachusetts resident with a LTC in MA. I am visiting some family in South East PA. If I happen to find some good prices on ammo at a local sporting goods store, can I buy it? Do I need some special license to buy in ammo? In the People's Republic of Massachusetts a license is needed to buy/possess ammo. I would like to know if there are any similar restriction in PA.
Thanks.

There is no restriction in PA.
But make sure that by bringing it back into your state will not get you in trouble. The 2A does not GIVE us the right. It tells the gov they can not INFRINGE our right.

No such restrictions here in PA.
Maybe the cashier may card you for age...but that's about it.

No you do not need a permit to buy ammo or firearms.

Re: Do I need a license/permit to buy Ammo in PA?
Thanks for the prompt response. There's no problem with bringing out of state ammo into MA. MA ammo is so expense that it is not uncommon to go to the free state of New Hampshire and pick up cheap ammo. The only place in MA with reasonable ammo is Walmart (if you can believe that).

As could easily be the case in the Garden State.

+1. If I buy a brick of 550 .22 LR Hollow Points in PA, throw it in my car, forget about it, travel to PRNJ, get pulled over in PRNJ and the Officer sees it: Bam...instant criminal.
A Republic, if you can keep it.
