Re: had to drop my pants at the doctor
I just got back from the Dr.'s office myself. (Tetanus booster) I OC'd. No problem. as usual.
I've yet to visit a Dr. that was not anything other than completely unconcerned. Never a mention of the gun, like most places._________________________________________

I had to take a piss test for work. Little did I know they make you empty your pockets first. The nurse said my NAA mini-revolver was cute.

Re: had to drop my pants at the doctor
Luckily for me my Dr. is also one of my best gun customers. Whether I'm OCing or CCing, it doesn't really matter, both he and his office staff are ok. On the few occasions where I've had to leave the exam room and my gun was still there the door was closed and the room was off limits.

Tell your doctor that if he has a problem with your firearm, you'll find a doctor in your network who doesn't.

Re: had to drop my pants at the doctor
Well I would imagine they would be happy that somebody could defend the office if shtf. I would never leave it farther than an arm's reach.

Re: had to drop my pants at the doctor
My doctor only asked me why I carry. Other than that, he's never said a word about my gun.

Re: had to drop my pants at the doctor
I was at the allergist a while back and he lifted up my shirt to check my breathing with his stethoscope, which I wasn't expecting at all. I could just feel him staring at my P2000sk in my IWB holster. I said something like, "Don't get scared by that I have a license to carry it." His response: "No problem, I've been in Pennsylvania long enough."

Re: had to drop my pants at the doctor
I had a bit of minor surgery on my back, all the while WEARING my sidearm. The doc wasn't phased a bit though, when I went back a few days later for the check up, the nurse that attended refused to come back in the room.
Did I forget to mention that the doc was a Texan? Yeah, I did. The doc, a Texan, the nurse.....who knows. Probably from Fantasyland or some such place.
