Default How hard is it to find a threaded barrel for a Beretta Neos?

I've been looking at the Ruger MK series, Browning Buckmark, and the Beretta Neos. My friend has a Ruger MKIII and the break down is too complicated... I'm a really lazy person - which is why I have a glock and a revolver... takes like 2 min. to clean each

The Beretta Neos is futuristic and looks rad as hell... but I'm worried about how difficult it will be to find a threaded barrel sometime down the line. I read that there was one company who was making threaded barrels, but they went out of business or something.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Tornado Technologies can thread your barrel or many times sell you a new one. I just got a threaded barrel for my Bobcat.

Any local competent gunsmith can also thread the barrel for you. Look up your local guy, check for references and have it done locally. Pay local, support your own community.

There is no need to get another barrel, just have the one on it threaded.

Make sure you know what threading specification you would like done.

If I were in your shoes, I would go to John Robinson at Classic Pistol to do it.

I was considering one, but a guy who had one was behind me in classic pistol when I was looking at it and told me about the nightmare he had with his, failure to feed, failure to fire, failure to extract etc. a lot.

I took his advice about the Neos and ended up buying a S&W 22A-1 with a fiber front site and standard grips. Been trouble free so far.

From what I know since I own one it runs great on all by crappy Winchester X 22 bullets.

Pretty darn accurate for a cheap 22 and even better after a trigger job.

Aftermarket barrels: There is as far as I know no one making barrels for the NEOS but Beretta. I have been looking for a while for a longer barrel.

I bought a buckmark and got it threaded for 100 bucks. I'm glad I did that instead of getting a pre-threaded barrel, because I wanted to keep the factory look. Also it was cheaper to do it that way.

So Beretta Neos' don't run well with a threaded barrel + suppressor? From the reviews I've been reading, the stock Neos' run great with all types of ammo.

I would stay clear of this, not all gunsmiths have the tools or experience to thread a barrel concentric to the bore. Plus you dont thread these barrels, they dont stick out from the muzzle end. they put a thread extension on them. so you would have more machining involved that just the thread..
