Re: Is it true the h&k mk23 is discontinued?
I was watching Tears of the Sun last night and I noticed the SEAL team was using Mk23's. I would never make a claim that a movie does things accurately, but it's the first time I ever saw the gun being used in a military movie, and it was damn cool! Lol it was such a tease though since I know I can't afford one yet. I just hope when I can H&K will either have resumed production or I can find one NIB

Yup that backwards round in the mag is classic. And no they never will live it down. In a lot of "HK guys" pics that they post of their firearms you will notice a backward round too just kinda mocking them for that. Its now kinda become an inside joke for everyone. Like if you didnt know about it theyd be like "why the hell does that guy have a round in his mag backwards ?" Anyhow, funny stuff man

Re: Is it true the h&k mk23 is discontinued?
I heard they ran the entire first batch of catalogs before they caught it. I wonder how many thousands of them the President of H&K personally watch go through the shredder? I forgot, the Germans probably burned them. Bill T.

Alot of us on HKPRO when we post our pics do indeed load a round backwards as a tribute to that catalog picture.
Obviously, the photographer who staged that picture is a Glock owner.

Re: Is it true the h&k mk23 is discontinued?
another thing, i never once seen a police officer with an hk, most i seen with glocks, obviously they are simple and half the price, but i seen police with sig's, which are pretty much up there with price with the hk's.
another thing, how come no one bashes the prices of sig's they are just as much money.

the HK MK23 rules.
frankly, its not hardly heavier or larger than a USP tactical.
also, HK USP 45 mags fit, if you swap the baseplates

Re: Is it true the h&k mk23 is discontinued?
I was at WAWA on rte 309s and pumping station rd, I believe, maybe not pumping station but somewhere right there, Whatever that PD would be has USP's. I saw the butt of the grip sticking out and knew right away what it was. Dont recall caliber but kinda shot the shit with'em for a minute at the coffee station and he said it was issued and liked it alot, no complaints. So sorry for the vagueness but there's one
