And the winner is....
After reading every response to my post "who makes a really awsome .22 semi auto pistol" and doing alot of research on the web I went to tanner's and bought a
Ruger MKIII hunter ss 6 7/8 inch barrel. They have a great selection of new and used guns, I saw a couple of High Standards and S&W 41's but they were out of my price range, I fondled a Browning Buckmark, felt great in my hand, but went hands down on the Ruger.
Thanks to everyone who posted, you helped make my decission easier. Believe me it was a difficult choice.
I'll put pics up when I get this crappy computer to cooperate but it looks just like all the Ruger MKIII hunters.

An excellent choice. You will not be disapointed. Looking forward to your impressions after shooting it.

You wont be dissapointed.
Although, I myself did not care for my Hunter, as I didn't like the weight of HBL hanging out on front of me(Not just hunter. But I never cared for heavy barreled Mk seriese pistol. So I got 4.75" and 6" skinny barreled MkIII SS), but action is solid, and its an accurate pistol.
I suggest go buy yourself a couple of bulk pack, and go enjoy your new toy!Audemus jura nostra defendere

Re: And the winner is....
The most common complaint for the Ruger is that breaking it down is a royal PITA. The Buckmark is easier to break down. Cleaning is straightforward, particularly if you use a boresnake rather than a rod. If you'll remind me next time we get together, I'll bring my Buckmark and show you how to break it down. There's one gotcha, but it's easy to do. 22LR semi pistols seem to be a peculiar breed that way.

Thanks everybody for the congrats, she is 479.00 at Tanner's in Jamison. Bucks county, They have a vast selection of new and used at very reasonable prices. Check them out if you're in the area. Thats where I bought my FN FNP .45 and now my Ruger MKIII. Ammo is also at a fair price

Re: And the winner is....
That's great. Get some CCI MiniMags and Federal Auto-Match to break it in. Then after a few bricks of Federal and Winchester bulk. Steer clear of Remington, it's dirty and troublesome.
Best of luck!My Best, Walt
