Pocket Diamond Back
I have been checking out pocket guns and handled a DB. The DB feels better in my hand than the keltec/LCP. I was told that the DB is about 2 years old and someone from Keltec was involved. 2 of the 3 guys @ the counter were using them as backups. Looking for feedback
TIA

Re: Pocket Diamond Back
I think they look cool. Not much info on their reliability though. I think I heard a story about one kabooming... Maybe someone will be along to tell it.

Re: Pocket Diamond Back
I heard they were started by former glock employees, dont quote me, just what I heard. I think they look nice but thats one of the last things you want in a firearm. They have 3 dot sights unlike alot of the competition which is nice, 6+1 I believe. I checked one out a little bit when I got my LCP and they wanted like 350-ish so at the time I went with the ruger. Thats about all I got
and to the dust you shall return

Re: Pocket Diamond Back
Do you really want to carry a classic like the Colt Diamond back talk about money to burn. It would do the job for sure but I view this like some view women some you sleep with/carry, others you marry/store & treat like precious metal.
My 2 cent.

Re: Pocket Diamond Back
I didn't say much in my previous post since I don't own one.
I handled this gun at a local show and really wanted to buy it. I had read a lot of bad reviews but was still thinking about taking my chances. It feels great in hand, looks and acts like a mini Glock in many respects (breakdown etc) but ultimately I walked away.
If you google "Diamondback DB380" you could busy yourself for days sifting through info. Seems like the first models had some issues and lots of guns found their way back to the mfg. At this point I don't know if these issues have been ironed out yet. Scanning the forums it's certainly easy to find people who are very pleased with this gun. I've read that customer service is very good.
There is a good review here with pics comparing it to other guns. The review itself is a little flowery.
From what I recall Diamondback Firearms is a FL based company. I believe the company makes airboats and this is their first foray into firearms. A few former KelTec employees are also part of the team. They are already working on a 9mm offering too.

Re: Pocket Diamond Back
The side of the DB380 indicates "Cocoa, FL".
I don't have a ton of .380 ammo, but I'll bring my DB380 along to the ZRT BBQ at the end of the month for anyone who wants to try it.
