    Default Philadelphia Zoo - Again

I know this has been asked several times in the past but I just wanted an update. I am going to the Philadelphia Zoo on Tuesday with a group and just wanted to make sure that the zoo had not added metal detector or anything exciting such as that at their entrance. I would prefer to carry deep concealed but certainly do not want to get there and find a line to go through newlt installed metal detectors. That would be bad.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't think they do...I was there in August and didn't notice anything like that. And they don't check bags, strollers anything like that, you should be good.

    Bump for update....

I just went to the zoo yesterday. They had a sign posted out front with a list of prohibited items -- alcohol, etc. made the list but firearms/weapons did not. So, as best I can tell, there is no policy against carrying of firearms there.

(And there were no bag checks or metal detectors.)

Thanks for the update. I always conceal carry in places like this so I don't care about their "policy". I figure that concealed means concealed so as long as it stays that way I figure that I am good to go. I just have trouble with venues that wand or have metal detectors installed like the Philadelphia pro-sports arena/stadiums.

I am glad to see that the zoo has not posted no firearms. Hopefully that means that someone may actually get it.

UPDATE, spent the day with the wife at the Philly Zoo (7-13-09) no pat downs, wands or anything intrusive.

Bill excellent! I was there about 8 weeks ago with Glock 30 tucked neatly away with a spare mag. Glad I had the Glock as it rained on and off all day. No problems either. Philly Zoo= safe to carry.

So then OC is perfectly fine? I have a membership...are they gonna repeal it?
