    Default carrying while wearing scrubs

    Hello All:

I searched the threads but saw no previous posts. Forgive me if I am wrong. I am working part time at a medical office where I have to where scrubs. My primary carry firearm for their would Keltec P3AT (380). The facility is in a horible area, patient high on drugs, drunk, etc.

Could some recommend a holster while wearing scurbs? Obviously my employer has a problem with medical staff carrying.

    Ankle, t-shirt holster?

any one have any expieriences carrying with scrubs?

No experience with that type of carry, but either SmartCarry/Thunderwear or a concealment t-shirt would be a couple of options I'd think would be good possibilities.

Or you could get one of those kydex holsters on a chain around your neck.

I've seen them advertised for the p3AT and the p32.

I wear scrubs everyday, but don't carry. I would recommend Galco Ankle glove. I don't think it would be noticeable at all considering scrubs wear kind of loose.

Definitely go with the belly band. Ankle holsters keep the gun way too far from where you need it (in your hand) if SHTF.

Belly band rocks - I've carried with it countless times, and you can get one for any size handgun. Also, I would dump the Kel-Tec, and get a 9mm or .38. I wouldn't trust my life to a .380 if I didn't have to. Why not pick up a used Springfield or Glock for cheap and have more rounds of heavier caliber?

i assume it's because he's paranoid about being spotted printing while at work, and rightfully so. he's already risking his job by going against their employee no-carry policy, so why carry a larger gun and chance being spotted? sure the glock 26/27 are real small, but not as small as the P3AT. i agree to a point, i wouldn't trust my life to a small .380 either, but then again it beats finding the nearest throwable object. in the OP's case i think a .380 is a fine choice.

I make these for the P3AT.

Wear it around the neck, over one shoulder, or as a shoulder rig with a MercHarness.

I would agree with trying out a smart carry or belly band. the should provide you plenty of concealment while keeping the gun close at hand.

    This again...

Today's .380 is just as effective as 9mm when you start hitting into the self defense loads. Its not your dad's .380.

Not to be insulting, but is part of that retention the trigger!?
