Target sight help
I am planning on putting a rear aperture sight on my K31,Problem is the receiver is wider than your average bear its .750 approx from the rec. left side to the CL of the bore! I'm looking for a sight that would come close as possible to being centered.Abit off center is OK as long as I still have a few min. of right windage available after its zeroed. Are there any sights that would work for this application from the past or present?
Thanks,Tim

Re: Target sight help
The Swiss make a great sight for it but they are over 300 bucks. Here is another way someone did it I've been thinking of trying on one of mine.

Re: Target sight help
So, you're playing with a K31 now?
Here a re few links for you to browse, not sure if they will help you out:

There use to be a guy who came to the Greensburg gun show who specialized in aperature sights and parts. I've been waiting on his return (I'm looking for a few parts).
I have his business card if you PM me I'll hook you up.Last edited by Hawk; July 30th, 2010 at 10:16 AM.

Re: Target sight help
Rifleshooter2 Thanks,I've spoken with 35 Whelen and Bob S. on that site many times as I'm a member there also.I was just looking for a little cheaper alternative I havent thought of before.Maybe there isnt but I'm sure gonna try. Iate to spend 200-300 on a sight for a 250 dollar rifle.
Hawk, Yep you know I'm a sucker for accurate old rifles!!!! couldn't resist....! A little quicker on the rapids with the straight pull. I know of the gentleman your talking about at the show,I got a sight off him last year Talk with you on Sunday if your gonna shoot.
