    Default S&W 4006 Problem

    I field stripped to clean, and installed new grips.

    upon reassemble, everything went together fine.

    Now having problem, when cocked trigger does not fire

    disassembled, numerous time checking, everything there and goes together fine, trigger does work properly when slide is off the gun, yet when reinstalled, trigger will not work either DA or SA

    Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

    as you are attempting to dry fire is there an empty magazine in the pistol?

    Nope, just tried it with magazine in, works fine . . . color me glock-brained

    My S&W 645 is the only auto pistol I have with a mag safety, always have to think about it. My Marlin Camp 45 also has one, they are a pain!

    It is the only one I have with a magazine safety, you wouldn't think LEO's (it's a trade) would need safetys like that . . . LOL
