Default Cylinder pin for Smith 66

Quick question, is the thread to gain access to the pin and such counter-threaded or regular threaded?

If you are trying to get the cylinder off of a Smth then the extractor star is where you start at. I think they are counter threaded, but its been a while since I tore down a K frame....

Just be careful as theres a spring in there and its under a bit of tension and might fly off into space on you.

All gun parts do become carpet and concrete soluable...
    gotta love her ;)

The older Smiths were right hand thread, the newer Smiths are left hand thread. The change from right hand thread to left hand thread occurred around 1960. Since the model 66 was introduced in 1970 all model 66 are left hand thread.
