Default Info needed regarding moving to Pa.

Can anyone tell me what I would need to do firearm wise if I am moving from NY to Pa. ? Do I need to make any agency aware of my firearms? I have a very large collection, and wondered if I can just bring them with me when I move. Any input would be appreciated.
Where I live now I have a license with every handgun listed on it.

Assuming your not bringing NFA firearms, there is nothig you have to do with any PA governmental agency. You don't need permission nor do you have to 'register' them once you get here.

Just make sure you transport "not loaded and is in a secure wrapper" while in PA
"Loaded." A firearm is loaded if the firing chamber, the nondetachable magazine or in the case of a revolver, any of the chambers of the cylinder contain ammunition capable of being fired. In the case of a firearm which utilizes a detachable magazine, the term shall mean a magazine suitable for use in said firearm which magazine contains such ammunition and has been inserted in the firearm or is in the same container or, where the container has multiple compartments, the same compartment thereof as the firearm.
You're also OK insofar as Federal law.

Can't speak to your NY portion of the move.

There is nothing you need to do. There is no registration, no permit/license to own/possess, no mag limits, no assault weapon ban..

Once here, and after you get your proof of residency, go down to your new county Sheriff and apply for your license to carry firearms.

You will have to notify the pistol license dept of the Nassau County Police. You can do it in writing post move, and you will probably have to send in your license as well. That's what I had to do when I moved from Suffolk county to here sixteen years ago.

Hah! With me (and possibly a few others here), it'd be a cold day in Hell.

What are they going to do if you move and don't tell them? Write you a nasty letter?

Thanks to all who replied. Much appreciated. I currently have a Non Resident Pa. LTCF issued in Cente County. I assume I would need to go to my new county sheriff and change to that county. Am I correct?

Not correct. your LTCF is good until it expires or is revoked. It might be a good idea to inform the issuing authority of your change of address, but that is not required.
