Default Nice place to put your gun

Well I was looking for a nice place to store my gun when I have cousins around that is basically unnoticeable, yet easy to get to. So I made this out of a dictionary. This is the first time I tried this so I took my glock and traced it and cut that into the book with a razor knife. Then once it was all cut used a dremel to smooth out the edges. I did glue randomly on pages but it holds fairly well. I could use some better ideas there as I have no more great ideas there, but it turned out good. Plan to make another one for another room. This holds glock, e2d, and mag.

Here it is on my book shelf.

Don't bother randomly gluing between pages. When the cutting is complete, use puzzle glue on the inside of the cut edges, and allow to dry before using.

Maybe just me, but I think I'd use a book other than a commonly used reference like a dictionary. Never know when someone will want to see how to spell 'surprise' or 'revelation' or 'lookIfoundagun!'

Very nice for the "do-it yourself-er" instead of buying a pre-made one. I see that it's on the bottom shelf, I hope your cousins aren't small and young!

Kids might need to look up a word.

Buy a big-print copy of "1,001 Recipes For Broccoli."

I see no need to ruin a dictionary in such a fashion.

Perhaps a nice copy of Hillary Clinton's "It takes a Village" or "A woman in Charge" or some other drivel would be more suitable to cut in such a fashion. By the way, do not buy the aforementioned books new, get them at the Salvation Army or a yard sale. No need to contribute to her cause...
