Springfield 1911 Micro Compact...
I just went to look at one and was ready to put the money down but the federal background check is down. I will have to wait til tomorrow.
The price I got its $575 OTD. Its the GI model. It sounds like a good deal.
Is there anything I should look out for. I'm new to 1911's. What holster to get and what mags are good. Any info is great. I plan on picking it up tomorrow.

Re: Springfield 1911 Micro Compact...
Well I picked it up and can't wait to shoot it. I have to get some new dies now. I can't wait to customize it a little when its broken in. I am going to order giraffe bone grips just for the sake of saying it.
What are some good upgrades to make?

Re: Springfield 1911 Micro Compact...
I've never owned a shortie but everything I've read the owner's claim that EVERYTHING must be perfect to function 100%. The same word keep's repeating in all post they are finicky, I figure if JMB meant for a 1911 to be a shortie? He would have made one. That's why I stick with full size, if you can conceal a shortie you can conceal a full size just as easy.
