Default Problems with my AA Conversion Kit, Ammo advice?

I recently became the proud owner of a Advantage Arms .22 Cal Conversion Kit for my Glock 22 (.40 Cal).

I've taken it to the range twice so far. First time, I loaded it with some really cheap Federal Bulk .22 stuff I picked up at Wall Mart. That didn't work out so well, I found that a lot of the rounds were chipped or twisted and misshapen and it caused my gun to jam fairly often.

Today, I used Federal .22 but not the bulk ammo. It was 711B, pretty good not as cheap ($45 for 500 rounds of .22). I found that my gun jammed less, but still pretty often.

I don't know if it is the AA conversion kit, or the ammo I am using. The kit I got was used, and had about 1500 rounds through it already, so I don't think the issue is "breaking it in".

    Any suggestions?

Try some CCI MiniMag Solids. Both of my AA conversions work well with those. Stay away from Blazer, at least until it's broken in.

I'll let you know when mine comes back from the factory. Mine didn't work worth a shit either. I tried their recommended ammo, and even some ammo that probably should have been better than what they recommended.

I do know a guy who is happy with his.

FYI - they don't work with Gen IV Glocks.

Remington golden bullets will run perfect in your conversion. I have one for a G26/27/33 and mine has fired well over 1500 rnds with only an occasional failure, and the failures I do get are normally the rnd fails to go bang, dud rnd. I have had maybe 2 failures that the rnd did not feed, that's it.

Glad they will work in his. They did not work in mine. Which is why I sent it back.
