Default bar sto barrels - Sig 239

I have a sig 239 DAK 40. I am thinking about buying a drop in barrel from Bar Sto in 9mm. Does anyone here have any experience with them or another company? I also ran across efk barrels in my search.

I shot some of the older BarSto barrels in 1911's a number of years ago. The big question is what are you looking to get out of the after-market barrel? If you are replacing a shot out barrel, it may not be a bad idea. If you are looking to improve your groups at the range you would be better off buying more ammo to practice and get some pointers in a class or shoot some bullseye club competitions.

A BarSto barrel will not give you dramatic results. Perhaps a trigger job by a master gunsmith complete with new springs will help your groups more.

    Thanks Steve.

I am looking for a 9mm barrel to drop in place of my 40. I picked up the 40 since it was a good deal on a gun that is in great shape. I would have preferred a 9mm to try to keep my ammo consistent with other guns I own, recoil, and ammo cost.

I have had great results with the EFK 9mm in my 40. I had to smooth the sharp edge at the bottom of the feed ramp. I prefer the 239/.40 because the slide serrations are twice the size as the 239/9mm.
