New Gun Purchase Fees

Hey Guys,
I'm interested in purchasing a new pistol. (Taurus Millenium Pro PT-111)
I was wondering what fees i should expect to pay when i go and purchase the pistol. I know there will be pa sales tax of 6%.

The gun is about $389 plus tax would be $412.34.

Basically I was wondering how much more money the state needs to feel comfortable with me buying the gun???????

There is no state fee for purchasing a gun, just the sales tax. The background check/transfer fee is totally dependent on the gun shop(though I believe PICS charges 5$ to run a background check). It used to be relatively cheap most places, but today you can expect it to range anywhere from $25 to $40 on average. Some shops even waive the fee as part of their marketing.

sales tax + $5 is normal around here
