Another restoration of rights question....
In 2002 I was arrested in Allentown and in 2003 plead guilty to carrying without a license. I was told it was a felony conviction but with only a 23 month county sentence.
18 Pa.C.S. § 6105.1: Restoration of firearm rights for offenses . After reading the restoration section of the law it seems to indicate that I can be restored.
Anyone have an opinion on this? There were no aggravating factors in the arrest... I was simply walking down the street. No drugs or other crime involved.
Any help would be appreciated.Last edited by tcambler; July 14th, 2010 at 04:57 AM. Reason: Should be in PA Law forum

Re: Another restoration of rights question....
You would need a pardon from the governor.
6105.1 is for convictions that used to be felonies or high misdemeanors, but have since been changed to lesser offenses. Like shoplifting, drag racing, and 1st-time DUI. Unlicensed carry is still an M-1 or felony.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com
