    Default CZ trigger job

Has anyone had a trigger job done on their CZ by a local gunsmith? (Philadelphia area) If so would you mind providing some details. Thanks

I've always wondered about the CZ reputation of Swiss Clock like. But a $800 gun that needs a trigger job. I think I'll spend that $800 on a Sig that comes with a great trigger.

Of course this could be a case of Love of a Gun and wanting to make a Good trigger better. I resend my statement if this is the case, I mean I do own some 1911s. And how much money have we thrown at them.

which CZ are you talking about that's $800 and needs a trigger job?

my CZ only cost $450 and it has a lot of work done to it.

triplebike...what model CZ are you talking about? we can probably help you more once we know that information.

I don't know where you got that price from. I paid $499 (NIB) for my CZ 75B. I do admit that my CZ's trigger is not the greatest out there. I've heard that it is the achellies heel of the gun through.

now that I know you got the 75, we can go from there.

I added these parts to my 85 (same as the 75, but for left-handed shooters)

    Competition Hammer

    13lb main spring
    http://czcustom.com/CZ-Mainspring-13Lb-3-PAK-1.aspx

    11lb recoil spring
    http://czcustom.com/CZ-Recoil-Spring-11Lb.aspx

    my trigger pulls went from
    8lb SA/12lb DA

    to about 3.5lb SA/8lb DA

you may also want to pick up a heavier main spring and recoil spring just in case the lighter springs won't function properly in your gun.

    something like this-

I am really curious who is paying $800 for their CZ's. Definitely didn't pay that for my two. Actually, I think I paid about $900 (for both).

And to triplebike, if you haven't already, check out the CZ Forum. Lots of good information there.

However, about the triggers, they smooth out a lot after use. My RAMI was VERY gritty, but some oil and lots of dry-firing (with snap cap) smoothed it out to a very nice pull. Also, if it's a little gritty on the DA pull, try putting some oil on the hammer spring in the mag well where it fits through the holding device (not sure what it's called...cylinder the spring goes through). That smoothed my RAMI's DA pull significantly.

ETA: Looks like you posted on the CZ Forum already.

NEKO is just talking out of his ass, nobody pays $800 for a CZ, we're paying $489 tops.

And even Sigs can be had for far less than $800.

I believe there used to be a felller on here that used to be a member here that does trigger jobs on CZ's somebody might remember him

they'll smooth out, but definitely not to where mine is at. The parts for it are cheap enough to make it affordable.
