Thumbs up Remington 1911 R1...... Definitely a keeper

Picked up a Remington 1911 R1 last week at Tanner's in Jamison. Was able to de-virginize it this morning at Classic Pistol.

All I can say is that Remington has a winner here. Put 125+ rounds down range and there were no malfunctions whatever and accuracy phenomenal.

All my shooting is at 7-10 yards and I shoot as fast as I can, fortunately no one at Classic seems to mind.

I have a Series 70 Colt 1911 which shoots great but the R1 may be a bit better.

    125 rounds in there

Thumbs up Re: Remington 1911 R1...... Definitely a keeper

I'm envious as I was told by a Remington rep who happened to be in a local gunshop that less than 10,000 would be made. The owner and I have dibs on the first two that come in. Nice addition to the collection.

Wouldnt the gun need to be broken in to give it a fair assessment?
Jeff Cooper was a huge supporter of gun games, when he was winning them at least...

Maybe first round of Production, why would they stop at 10k ?

If they were going to make a limited edition 1911, it'd cost more and be a lot fancier, not just another production 1911 with Remington on the side.
