Default M&P40 after a quick dremel job

I wasnt a fan of the beavertail on my M&P so I took it off. I know some of you like that feature but I decided to buzz it off anyway. Heres how it looks now.

and heres a pic from the S&W website showing ithe beavertail

What did you do to the barrel? Looks like you used MS paint to hide it.

Actually I stripped all the blueing off after it started to ware. I tried to polish it to a shine but it just wont pop like the Glock barrels do.

P-11 did his compact, it is a mirror. What did you use? I was able to mirror mu feed ramp without issue, just like all of my other pistols. The melonite takes a bit to wear through, but it should be very easy to polish with a nice cotton wheel.

I am starting to see why people loose the beaver, although I cant say I plan on doing it anytime soon. Nice job.

It is quite literally a mirror. I've used it as an inspection mirror to see under my dashboard.

A cotton wheel, some red rouge, and a few beers is all it takes.

Is there an advantage to all this polishing?
