What's a good car storage option when I can't carry at Work?
I just got a new job. I work in Delaware and I have my Florida CCW so I can carry in Delaware (take that Bryn Lentz!).
My problem is I am not allowed at all to carry into my building where I work. I would like to still carry in my car. The place where I park is safe and secure, it is a corporate park in a very nice area, so the threat of my car being broken into is minimal however I didn't want to recklessly store my hand gun unsecured.
I was wondering if there was a favored method or brand of safe / cable lock that any people used on this website? I understand the best method is to typically transfer the firearm in your car to a secure case and then move the case into the trunk. I just wanted to know if there was a handgun vault or another method someone could recommend. Also, perhaps where I could buy one? I haven't had much luck in finding good reviews or good places to buy.

This is what I have in my car, granted it's a cheaper model and you get what you pay for. My only problem has been the locking mechanism is sometimes hard to turn.

It depends on the car. A buddy of mine got himself '84 CJ7. So he bolted military ammo can to the floor (between the front seats). Works just fine.

Not the cheapest, but I feel secure with it.

Request your place of work provide gun lockers. Unlessw the business will be responsiable for theft in the parking lot and liable for the misuse of your gun if stolen.
Give it a shot, so to speak.Veritas Vos Liberat

If you're parking on your employer's property, might want to be careful and make sure they don't have a policy against and firearms on the premises at all.
Besides that, I don't have the link handy, but I know I've seen gun storage safes that are designed to fit in the consoles and dashes of specific popular car models that are bolted into place and not obvious as to what they are. I may have seen them on Cabella's site.

I have the Nano Vault 300 that I purchased for security while traveling.
My only problem is that my S&W Sigma 9mm with a holster is to thick to fit in the case. Just the firearm itself is fine. I'm not worried as I'm looking to get a more compact and thinner carry firearm to replace the sigma with.
