    Default What shoots 7.62 x 25?

Saw a couple boxes in the local shop and I really liked the round and the price. I was wondering what pistols shoot the round.

    Thanks guys!

Tokorov TT-33 and there are about 5-6 variants to it. It's like the European 1911. check out the link.

Off the top of my head:

    • USSR pistol TT-30, -33 and various Warsaw Pact TT-33 clones (Romanian, Polish, Yugo, Chinese copies of same)
    • Czech CZ-52 pistol
    • Russian submachineguns PPD-40, PPSh-41, -43 and US-legal semi auto copies of same (example)
    • Certain AR-15 upper receivers (example - another)

    I'm sure there's more.

And some people are foolish enough to fire it in a C96 Mauser "Broomhandle". Not recommended as the Com-Block 7.62 x 25 runs from 1400-1600 fps and the C96 is approx 1350 max. There is also a POS known as the Sterling pistol chambered for it. A gimmick, not a gun!! Dave_n

Awesome round especially when fired through a CZ52, makes some people tremble in thier jackboots though!

I think there are a couple of those semi-auto sterlings out there that fire in "pistol" and carbine form. Also there are some semi-auto PPSH conversion that shoot the same caliber.

Realistically you are only going to find the Russian TT33 and the CZ52 to shoot that cartridge. As 'PA Rifleman' mentioned there are some other options, but they are the exception rather than the rule.

I would love to see more firearms use this round as it is so cheap right now (surplus ammo). When it was < .10 a round I picked up 5000 rounds - that should last me a while. Now to find more firearms to shoot the ammo

I found your post extremely funny, but in a good way. You decided what to shoot (7.62x25) and why (<.10c a pop) before you had the how. Plus, anything fired from a pistol that can use trimmed .308 brass is a winner in my book.

Oh, don't assume Remember I said 'more' firearms. I actually inherited two CZ-52's and two TT33's. Also a PPS43. Problem is that I always want more - one of the CZ52's and one of the TT33's are Vietnam bringbacks so dont go out much. The other TT33 is a copy and has the dopey manual safety. I would like to get another CZ52 to hard chrome and maybe another beater TT33 to do the same.

Oh, and the PPS43 is plain old fun, but only ranges to shoot full auto are inside around here, and its summer now ....

Now if only I could get another interesting pistol that chambered that round ...
