Cool Yugo M57 Tokarev CZ Mag Swap

Just got my Yugo M52 Tokarev from SOG. It's packed in Cosmo and havent had time to clean or fire it yet. The big problem I and many other Shooters have is this Weapon only came with one Mag, and a spare Mag is Impossible to find at any price.
I did run across a Post on Gunboards.Com from PolishRon on converting CZ52 Mags to fit the M57. Hope this works as I have a few CZ Mags and have seen them for sale for $12.
I converted PolishRon's Post to a PDF file and attached it for Download. Can't say it works since I haven't tried it yet. Hopefully it will work as there seems to be no other way to get a second Mag at this time.

    I seen that post too.
To make sure before doing any mods, just see if the CZ mag fits in the Yugo, if it inserts all the way you should be good to go.

Searched for M57 and found this. The CZ52 magazine does in fact fit in the M57. There is even a mod to get the CZ magazine converted from an 8 round capacity up to 9. Something to do with filing the bottom of the follower.

If you're not up for modifying CZ magazines you can always buy new manufactured ones.

    Thanks,

I did get the Mod to fit and function, but had I seen this Ad I would have sprung for the money, haven't tried to cut the spring and follower for the 9th Round.

    Thanks,
    Ed

What ammo you going to use? If x39 then you're going to need an insert in the end of the barrel

Tokarevs are chambered in 7.62x25mm. The 7.62x39mm is a rifle round.

Missed the mention of Tokarevs. There are both CZ52 and CZ 57 rifles and pistols.
