Default seated .38 bullets .025" to deep

I loaded up 350 rounds of 38's and when i was finished i realized i seated them all about .025" to deep. Should of been 1.470 OAL but i seated them to 1.445 OAL. I was loading them to +p range using 5.0 g of bullseye and 125g zero jhp bullets. I read my calipers wrong. Do you guys think I'll have a problem?? Is that enough to cause an over pressure issue? Can I pull the bullets out slightly and re seat them to the correct depth? Or do I need to pull them out completely resize and reseat to the correct depth?? Someone experienced please help!!! Oh yea I'm shooting them out of a smith 642 and a dan wesson model 15. I will be getting digital calipers tomorrow!!!!!

Alliant's website lists the min OAL as 1.44 in +p at 4.7 gr Bullseye. I've shot much more bad. Up to you.

    Okinawa,

As far as length, they'll be fine. Shoot 'em and don't look back. Enjoy. Five grains of Bullseye will get your attention, though. Your loading data say that's ok? Loaded these before and all is well?

I think the alliant site has them set deeper because there giving loads for gold dots. I found that with 5.0 g of bullseye they shoot the same as my speer defense loads. I've shot thousands of them loaded that way but I had just loaded .357's and when I went back to my 38's I set my seating die wrong cuz I mis read the calipers. I'm still mad at myself for doing that.

You should be fine with that length, shouldn't do anything abnormal. If you're just not sure you want to, then pop them in a kinetic bullet puller and samck it couple times and remeasure until you're happy with the OAL.

I'd try a few out of the DW. If they extract ok and the primers look normal I'd shoot them up in that gun. I prefer to keep +p loads away from my Centennial (+P for carry, lighter loads for practice)

I read some good advice on another forum for these types of problems. Make up some rounds at the same OAL, but decrease the powder working your way backu up to 5.0. If you start to see pressure signs before you get there, stop and pull em. If not shoot em.
