Training Class for the women????
We see questions on here all the time about handguns for women. I was thinking that we should try and get ourselves a class set up just for us and the betterhalves, or femal friends we have, or female PAFOA members that may be interested.
I was initially thinking that it should be just for the women. But I think a lot of the women would be more comfortable with the other half there. And besides, most of us probably have never taken any kind of formal training ourselves.
So, if you would be up for attending a PAFOA Couples / Intro to handguns / Women Intro / ETC..... Respond to this thread. Maybe we can get Tony to set us up a Class next spring. That way we all winter to save up the money for both of us to attend. Our wives may be more receptive if they know this class will have other women in it that are new to shooting.
Anyone interested???The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control....

Re: Training Class for the women????
I'm down, maybe I'll have my ducks in a row by spring and can actually manage to get out of the house without my kid attached to my hip By spring my mom will be living up here too so she might be interested as well, she has her CCW in TX but could always use a little refresher.

John Farnam already has a course like this; I think his wife teaches it. It's in PA next year:

That is why the question was put out there. Want imput on which class would be prefered.
My betterhalf would be more comfortable with me there. Bit shy at first.
But I wanted to see what the rest of you thought. I am signing my betterhalf up for a class this spring. Just thought it might be neat to do one for PAFOA members if we can get enough interest. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control....

WoW, $500 for a class is pretty steep.
I was thinking more on the grounds of a single day intro to handguns kind of class. Just a good class to get them introduced to handguns correctly. Because, as great as you think you are. Your probably not the best person to teach your betterhalf how to shoot. Instructors at these classes have a bit more patients than most of us.The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control....
