Let me preface this by saying I'm a Sig mark but have no experience with the 2022 so I can"t vote for that.

For $600 heres my choices

1. Pre-owned P226
2.Pre-owned P229
3. Pre-owned Walther P99/SW99 (Owned one wish I never sold it)
4. S&W M&P
5. PX4 (I'd own one if not for the safety, great shooting pistol)
6. Glock or SR9 both about the same to me, IMHO.
7. Sig Pro (only because I have no time with it)
8. XD

Tanners had a beautiful P229 in 9mm for around $500 2 weeks ago.

I would go with a GLOCK 19. Great for the range or defense. To be honest though I don't have much trigger time on the others if any at all.
