!!!! I SAW A PANTHER TODAY WHILE HUNTING DEER !!!!

Theres story's of wild panthers in the bush around SE south Australia and you'd like to believe it but reason wipes it from your mind. Well its true & scary as.


So me & mate (tomo) go deer hunting once every 3 months and help out the local farmers, deer over here is consider a pest, shit loads of them and i mean shit loads 5 species of deer and no bag limits.

We pack up the gear and get going. 5 hours later we arrive, we chat to landowner about whats what and he said his got problems with Rabbits, Hares, Foxes, wild dogs, cats and deer.

We setup our camp site, sight in the rifles and get going before sun down.
On our litte hike we bagged 7 rabbits and 1 hare.

Its now dark enough for spotlighting the buggers, we nail 26 rabbits, 6 foxes and 2 cats.

Today we built our blind in the tree line on this high point , we wait and we wait. A mob deer mosey on down this open ridge and start feeding etc.
As we're deciding what one to take, this black shape is slowly moving the ridge and tomo says......is that a cat and grab the spotting scope and I'm like....yep bloody cat's gonna spook our deer.

Tomo's got the rifle out and in stead of taking shot he's using the rifle to look at the cat and he says....Oi MATE THATS NO TABBY, THATS A FUCKING ahh BIG FUCKING CAT and i said aww yeah. So i grab the rifle to get a closer look and it becomes apparent that cat isn't the right size to the fence post.

The penny drops...OMG...I try to chamber a round, my hearts going a thousand miles an hour.

Tomo says....AWWWW LOOK AT THIS QUICK and the deer bolt then the PANTHER is running after the deer (like on national geographic ).

It and the deer disappeared over the hill. Were like whoa....SHIT THATS A REAL FUCKING PANTHER YEAH....Then the whole fear thing kicks in and we make our way back to camp.

We decided to leave but on our way the dropped in on the farmer and we're like.....MAN YOU"VE GOT A BIG FUCKING PANTHER OUT THERE and thanks for letting us hunt.

The farmer looked at us and said you boys must seeing things but still thanks for the help.




Im now home safe n sound and we're never going to back there again....FUCK THAT SHIT.....Thats something to tell the grandkids

Talk about the hunter being the hunted...

Also i googled big cat in Oz and theres a whole heap stuff wow.

That pic is a large housecat, probably a tom. I can see some tabby stripe in the tail too. Using the surrounding features for scale, that is NOT a cougar. And don't try to play that it's a cub, they have distinctive spots and do not look that lean and lithe.
