    Default Sheriff's Sale of Firearms

On Friday, October 19, at 11:00 a.m., the Sheriff of Allegheny County will expose the following firearms for public sale:

    S&W Model 1076, 10 mm. (once owned by the FBI). NRA 98%. Blue book is: 60% - $245, 98% - $495.

Springfield Model V10 "Compact." .45 acp. NRA 98%. Blue book is: 60%-275, 98%-$775.

Remington Model 660, with syn. stock, wood stock, and Leupold 6 x 42 M-8 scope, in .350 Rem. Mag. NRA 95% (rifle). Blue book (rifle alone) is: 60% - $315, 98% - $735.

Condition was estimated by my appraiser for a hearing last week. I have seen the guns, but not tested them. These guns were owned by a judgment debtor, and were levied upon to satisfy the judgment. All sheriff's sales of personal property are "as is."

Anyone can bid, but possession can only be taken through a federally licensed dealer. It is a auction. My client will bid "costs," which should come to about $200 per gun. Anything over that, my client will not bid (my client wants cash, and has no interest in the guns).

The Court has ordered that winning bids must be paid on the spot, in U.S. Currency (no checks).

The sale will be in the Office of the Sheriff of Allegheny County, which is on the first floor of the Allegheny County Courthouse, in Pittsburgh. Sales take 10 minutes, so don't be late.

I posted this here because I figure only people in and around Pittsburgh might be interested.
