Smile First True OC - On Purpose at Least - Danville and West Chester

The motor in my friend's g/f's Jeep seized. So, we drove from West Chester to Danville to get it. I basically open carried all day from loading the Jeep onto a U-haul, to airing up tires at Sheetz, and going inside Sheetz to grab a drink and snack, then back in West Chester as well.

At a Sheetz in Danville, I had several looks, including a cute girl around my age who walked in, looked at me, then at my Glock, then back up to me and smiled real big. Later in the day at the car wash in West Chester, there was an unmarked LEO who cruised by (probably on regular patrol). He looked at me once and then again as he circled while we were washing the Jeep. I smiled as he went by. He then turned onto the road and drove away. I tend not to OC, but I am dabbling in it and enjoying it more each time.

I hope I'm wrong but isn't Danville right over the NJ border?

It did make me smile too lol. She went to Bloomsburg U. it seemed from her shirt. Thing is, my g/f loves my Glock, and my Remington, and .. well, the list goes on, so that makes me happy.

Hahah, fine, you caught me.. she was looking at my package. I love my tight cut jeans (I kid I kid).

I don't do it often since I know the Chester County Sheriff specifically wrote in my letter that OC = Disorderly Conduct (Not verbatim but there've been posts on this). I don't want to get hassled when I have better things to do, so I do CC most the time. Figured the mountain folk wouldn't mind, though

    Welcome to the dark side

As far as your sheriff saying OC is disorderly conduct, click my sig line or click here http://www.thecrimsonpirate.com/rtkb...pdate_2009.pdf

    save it/print it

DISCLAIMER - I AM NOT A LAWYER AND NO I DO NOT PLAY ONE ON TV EITHER.

Under Pennsylvania criminal law, disorderly conduct is defined in the statute as intent to cause public inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, or recklessly creating a risk thereof.

Examples of behavior that might result in a disorderly conduct charge include fighting, unreasonable noise, obscene language or gestures, or any offensive or hazardous act that "serves no legitimate purpose".

Basically, anytime there is a disturbance and the police want to take charge and calm things down, they are likely to arrest people for disorderly conduct. Especially if you do something specifically that annoys the police officer.

Now, OC being LEGAL and COVERED in MPOETC can NOT be classified as disorderly conduct because the act of OCing is a LEGAL ACT and thus cannot be classified as "serving no legitimate purpose". The link I provided you is the actual MPOETC coursework for the uniform firearms act that SPECIFICALLY COVERS open carry in the state/commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

    Hope it helps!

Thanks, Steve! I was aware of all that but didn't know there was a nice little PDF for it as well. I appreciate the info very much!
