my mom just had surgery there and i CC every day when i went to see her. Didnt see any signs against it or metal detectors

Thomas Jefferson hospital has metal detectors in the Emergency room entrance "ONLY"

Security will check your pistole right there at the door with your Pa. LTCF. they do not run serial numbers or call PPD unless you do not have a LTCF in witch case they turn it over to Philly PD

This is just for the emergence Room. all out patient, inpatient, same day visits and physical therapy are fine

Jefferson ask in their paper work if you have a firearm and if you do they ask you to lock it up at security. Jefferson does not run serial numbers or call Philly PD to it either

Anybody know of recent changes as far as metal detectors? Have to go to the Kimmel Cancer Center 925 Chestnut St. Hate going to Philly especially without a firearm.

Thanks but I believe the referenced thread is talking about the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts. I'm looking for information for the Kimmel Cancer Center of Thomas Jefferson University. Seems Kimmel was a big spender in Philly.

Jefferson and Misericordia Hospital both have no gun policies. A friend of mine worked in the emergency room as a X-ray tech and she said when they brought in a gunshot victim they locked up behind him. They had more than few instances of gang members following the intended victim into the emergency room to finish the job. I saw a no firearms sign on the door at Jefferson when I was there a few years back.

My wife's sister is a nurse in TJ.

Policy is no guns for the complex - metal detectors in use only in the ER I recall.

Thanks for the replies. No signs other than No Smoking on the doors and no metal detectors at the Jefferson Kimmel Cancer Center 925 Chestnut St building.

Was just at Jefferson today there is a sign says “no firearms or weapons of any sort and that violators will be arrested” . But no Metal detectors that I seen I just cc with no problems .
