    Default Cmmg .22LR Upper

    Does any one have a cmmg .22 lr dedicated upper? I just got one today and want to know any problems people have or how they work

    I would have suggested asking before buying, but most .22 uppers seem to need a non-notched hammer and about 500 rounds of break in. I have found using weaponshield and keeping it wet has been fine. I have not had much luck with Remington golden bullets. Federal bulk pack is just fine.

    it doesnt chamber very well but im using Remington ammo so im gonna try federal

    I agree with the above poster...you research first before you purchase.

    That being said, I do not own a CMMG upper. I heard their 22 conversion kits are hit or miss. I heard their mag weren't the best either.

    I went with a Tac Sol dedicated upper and have been happy with the quality.

    Remington 22 ammo is crap. Find some Federal Auto Match at WM and you will be good to go.

    Just stick to Federal or CCI 40 gr

    most 22 uppers are fineky, when you find a good round for it stick with it.

    CMMG's stuff gets good reports, I have not read anywhere that said to not get them, but Tac Sol makes what I feel is a better unit.

    I just stated that because it sounded like you bought something then decided it was time to figure out stuff.
