    Default 1911 holster

I just bought a Springfield 1911, and am looking for a good OC holster. I didn't realize how heavy the gun is, and the plastic holster that comes with the gun is garbage. Any suggestions?

I'll second Desantis but before you get one of those bulky assed holsters go to a store and try a Yaqui

They might not look like they are a retention holster but trust me, once they are set up ain't nobody but you getting that gun out. Been OC'ing with one for almost a year now.

Yeah, the wait is killer. The wait is just as long if you get a milt sparks or any other big name, hand made holster too though.

Side note: those Atomicdog holsters look awesome!
