Default Best Bang For The Buck?

If you had to take one course, and one course fast because you have reason to fear for your life, which course/what type of course would it be?

I don't have an ak/ar so let's limit this to a handgun, because I can actually carry that with me everywhere I go, as well as use it in my home.

I would find a knowledgable handgun instructor with a background in tactical training and set up a 3-4 hour private range session.

If it's needed right now, this is your best choice.

If it's something needed in the next few weeks something like this http://www.lethalweaponstraining.com/handgun-201.html

I'm taking my 2 oldest kids and a co-worker to the 201 on the weekend of 7/24.
