Thumbs down They added 4 more security gurds at work, I feel so safe now!

Ok so from what I heard the company let an employee go & he got pissed & said something to the boss. They claimed he said "something" to alarm them. Now they add 4 more Security guards outfront. I feel SOOOOO much safer, since we had 4 unarmed guards standing out front only. So this way he wouldn't think to use the Back entrance or the Shop entrance or the Side entrance. Seeing 4 guys in blue shirts with a patch on the arm is very intimidating Especially when you can clearly see nothing on the belt to stop some one. Not even pepper spray.
It's sad that some people think that this could make them more "secure".

well, the shooter has to expend rounds into the 4 new bullet sponges before they get to you, giving you time to run out the back door.

    so yeah, you ARE safer.

You mean at the 4 guys who are going to scatter like scared rabbits at the first sign of a guy carrying a gun towards them, since they have no way to stop him?

If you're lucky, you get the "Superman" guard who tries to be the hero...

It would be cheaper, and maybe more productive.

It probably has more to do with providing the appearance of additional security in the event something bad should happen. Otherwise, can you imaging the screams of "Why didn't you DO something to PROTECT us, if you knew this guy made threats?!!!, and the lawsuits as a result of not having taken precautions.

I never understood the concept of expecting a person making maybe... $24/hour to put their lives at risk in a situation like that.

Note I'm not knocking security guards, some do a fine job. I just wouldn't really blame someone if they weren't willing to jump in front of me to take a bullet.
