    Default Nice Beretta Find

Picked up a nice Beretta 92FS at the Harrisburg show last Saturday. Looked like it might have had less than a box of ammo through it. Heck, the bluing on the rails was not even scuffed. $495 all paperwork, case, and box. Been wanting one as it's what I carried when I retired from the service so kept an eye out for a nice used one.

Nice gun. It has the nice straight dust cover too. Why they changed that Ill never know. Price was a little on the high side but deals at gun shows are getting harder and harder to find. The important thing is that you got a gun you were looking for. If you come across a M9A1 let me know. That will be my next buy.

That was a nice find barely used Beretta 92, usually if you find a 92 used its been well shot a lot. Most people that buy Beretta like shooting them. They are very reliable and easy to care for reasonably accurate as you know.

It's my favorite design so like you I like Berettas.

Yea, started keeping an eye out for one about a year and a half ago. It was not a "need", but if I came across a decent one for a decent price I'd pick one up. didn't want to pay the price of a new one. The vast majority of what I've seen in that time were pretty ragged out. This one caught my eye because it had a used tag on it and looked brand new. had to ask if it was a mistake. Saved $100-$150 on it from what I've seen for new. Like I said, wasn't even a mark on the rails. The rest in the show were running $50-$100 less but looked like crap.

With revolvers, most "wear" tends to be holster wear as people don't put near as many rounds through them as semi's. So I don't mind wear showing on them (as long as not gouged and scratched up). With semi's wear normally come from a LOT of use. A LOT of rounds put through them, springs don't get changed out, get shot fast and hot, and get a lot of abuse compared to revolvers. It'll be a fun plinker.

Good find, decent price, especially if the 92FS has all steel parts.

    Congrats & enjoy!

Very, very nice! I think it was well bought at that price & condition. I picked up an INOX 92FS at Cabelas about 2 years ago for $350 that was in similar condition! It was "pre-owned" but never fired police trade in.....no markings! I have probably around 3000 rounds through it without a SINGLE malfunction of any kind!

I had a guy down in Florida make a custom set of Prairie Rattlesnake grips for it.....it's my favorite gun by far & I'll be rocking it at the 3 gun this weekend.

A used Inox 92 for $350 even 2 years ago is a great buy I said that I wouldn't buy another Beretta 92/96 (not because they are not good guns but because I have too many of them) but if I could get a Inox for $350-$400 I'd have to buy it. But personally I'd by past the snake skin grips strokes for folks otherwise damn that's a pretty gun.
