whats the best price you found for used M16/AR15 mags?

whats the best price you found for used M16/AR15 mags? The best price I've found were $5.99 each they are worn from use but the seem to load and fire fine. I bought only 5 extra 30 round magazines at this price, I should have bought more but I thought this was a gamble new Ar15 mags are just $15.

Not a big thing but you usually can't find used Mini 14 mags you just have to come off the $19. I still like mini-14 but surplus military mags are a plus.

Whats your take or experience on/with used surplus M16 mags?

I just buy Magpuls. They're not expensive and I believe they're stronger, function better and look better than mil surp mags.

Now AK mags, thats a different story.

Also, new C-product mags can be had for usually <$10 at some places... I like them because they're cheap, reliable, and aluminum.

I've bought some used mags that don't work well. New mil-spec mags can be had for under $10, I can't see a reason to buy used mags unless they are collectibles. Or there is another AWB.

Yeah, at $10 for new mags and $15 for PMAG's I really don't see much point in buying used mags unless there is a specific manufacturer you want or are in an AWB state. You'll probably spend more buying them used and then replacing the spring and follower if they have issues than you will just buying new.

The voice of reason! Poke around, with the magpuls running around $15-20, you can pick the mil spec mags for just under or over $10/ mag.

Depends where I'm at and how much they are... I'll skip over them if there's something better there at the time, or from where I'm ordering, but sometimes I'll just pick up a few. They've never failed me yet though.. I actually favor them over the Bushmasters that came with my AR... Although there's some out there better than both, I agree..

I had 3 cproducts fail to hold open on last show in a row on my AR (bcm upper, LMT bolt carrier, bcm bolt ie - good components) but as soon as I slapped a pmag in - perfect function.
