Most likely an EAA revenue enhancement project, designed to take advantage of the current high level of interest in firearms with some sort of limited production and availability. But then, I'm a cynic that's halfway to 110. I come by my cynicism through years of training by observation and experience.

All that said, congrats on the CZ75 clone. I've fired and handled a few Tanfoglio (pron. "tan-FOE-lee-oh") CZ clones and they've been GTG.

Years and years ago I had a 9mm TZ-75, which was Fratelli Tanfoglio's version of the CZ-75. It was actually pretty good, though the rear sight was loose in the dovetail.
