On a whim I started cleaning my Mark III. I swabbed at what I thought was a blued part within the stainless grip frame, it ended up being stainless. So I kept tearing things down, pins that pop out easily, springs that squeeze in just so, little bits that fall out from unknown places on the table... It hasn't seen a complete take down, and she's a year old with a case of thunderbolts (dirty) plus a few bricks of other brands played with, it was time.

As I tried putting it together I felt Regret that I didn't bother to find a manual or diagram first. Remorse that I had taken it apart so far. Yelled Rrrgh a few times. Tomorrow, hopefully, there will be Relief that it still works.

I've heard of these pistols lasting for a million rounds, now I wonder if that's only the people who don't clean them so no parts are lost?

Ridiculous.
