Default FAB Defense KPOS Glock Carbine kit....

Has anyone seen this? I know it's not exactly the newest thing around, I'm pretty sure it was debuted at this year's SHOT Show...

I carry a carry a Glock 19, and I would love to just keep this thing hidden in the car somewhere. I was watching a couple videos of it in action, want. I've seen some deals on the internet where it's selling for ~$400.

Sig owners... they make one for you too!

Here's a great video review by DoubleTapper -

PS: I spent a good 3-4 minutes debating on posting this in the NFA section, since technically once you purchase the kit you have to register your glock as an NFA...

Gimmicky. I would rather reach for a real carbine instead of a transformer kit for a pistol (Megatron was a pistol at one point in my childhood, a pistol with a shoulder stock).

But that is just my opinion...

Gotta go with Steve on this one. You don't gain much if any performance with the kit, save a steadier shot.

By the time is all is said and done, the price of the kit, the nfa bills, you could buy a very nice carbine. In a rifle caliber too. Or 9mm if you really want.

The $400 maybe, but then the $200 on top, naahhh. You could get a 9mm upper for an AR that I don't have yet. If they offered a longer barrel to swap in I might reconsider. The supressor idea is a great one, too.

A Kel Tec Sub2K is around $300 and it takes Glock mags........ just sayin

+1 on the Sub2K. It ain't pretty, but I like it. A bunch of 33 round Glock mags for it, you're good to go. AND, you can still carry the 19 on your hip.

While I agree that I'd rather reach for my AR, it's still a pretty fun idea...gimmiky or not.

why the hell does he sling it?

no manual safety on a slung weapon is a bad day waiting to happen.

And that video is far from impressive, I didnt see there groups, but from watching how they shot I know all I need to that they wherent one holes shooting that slow. I see GLOCK shooters at matches shooting 2-3x's the speed and rocking shot placement all the time.

Its an expensive gimmick that essentially takes away all the advantages of a handgun without giving you the ballistic advantage of a rifle.

The sub2k rifles are great for this role. Cheap, fun, great on steel, lightweight, has a manual saftey (not like anyone ever goes around with a slung sub, but still.....).

WAy too much money for a toy with limited use.

If it wasnt for the paperwork and $$$ Id be tempted. And I prob shoot it for funnsies for a little while and then get rid of it.
