Which ammo for Ruger LCP?

First: I wasn't sure whether to post his in ammo or here--If mods want it elsewhere--feel free to move it.

Now, I believe I am getting a Ruger LCP for father's day and was wondering which ammo (FMJ & JHP) is most dependable and least likely to give me an FTF. Just wondering. Appreciate all answers. Thanks

I use Winchester White Box as range ammo and Winchester PDX hollow points for carry. I've also used cheaper FMJ range ammo and, with few exceptions during break-in, all have fed reliably. I know there are some arguments against using 380 HPs because of lack of expansion and I'm sure someone will chime in. But as for reliability with HPs in the LCP, no worries really.

I've had my LCP for over a year. I do most of my target shooting with FMJ but use hollow points for self defense. Due to the small size of the gun I normally buy low recoil rounds. Have had no problems with either type.

No problems with any hP or FMJ i've tried since i've gotten it back from ruger for a light primer strikes.

I have not had any issues with FMJ or HP in a P3AT, not an LCP but close enough.

I have a P3AT as well....use Federal American Eagle FMJ for target....never had a FTF...

Ive tried Winchester White box FMJ, American Eagle FMJ, Remington UMC FMJ, Corbon JHP, and after shooting a good bit of rounds, no FTE or FTF. In the beginning though, there were a few with all.

For range use I use whatever 380 I can find. It all works fine.

For carry I used to use Hydrashocks, and they ran fine, but they are an outdated design. I now carry Critical Defense, which also work fine. They have a little rubber ball in the HP to help expansion through clothing.

For the range, I use whatever FMJ ammo I can find cheap. For carry, I use Hornandy Critical Defense ammo.

I use 102gr. Remington Golden Sabers in my LCP for carry. And any FMJ or my HC lead reloads for target.
