Default Here's another to watch out for: HB 2570

Yes I know, it says ammunition and components and materials lawfuly used in shooting sports, hunting, handloading and reloading of ammunition, but let's watch this just in case someone decides to make a couple minor changes. Especially since some of the names in the co-sponsors list are inveterate anti-gunners.

    PRINTER'S NO. 3891
    THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF PENNSYLVANIA
HOUSE BILL No. 2570 Session of 2010

INTRODUCED BY STERN, PHILLIPS, READSHAW, VULAKOVICH, BOYD, GEIST, GILLESPIE, GINGRICH, HARHART, HENNESSEY, KAUFFMAN, KNOWLES, MURT, SCAVELLO, SONNEY, SWANGER, THOMAS, WATSON AND YOUNGBLOOD,

Another utterly useless bill, and exactly what is a "chemical agent" supposed to mean?

If every "chemical agent" is now classified as a WMD, well then am I now a terrorist for having studied chemistry?

This is a seriously pointless piece of legislation.

I guess fireworks are supposed to be consider WMDs too by this logic.

Think of the children! If we don't pass this law then people will build bombs and become chemists. We can't let that happen. Do you really want your child to grow up to be a chemist?

Seriously though, wtf is with this? Sounds to me that it has almost infinitely more potential to be abused than it does to stop someone from making a weapon of mass destruction. I'm pretty sure terrorist groups don't spend much time ensuring they're operating within federal, state, and local laws when dealing with this stuff.

Let's outlaw The Works toilet cleaner and tinfoil while we're at it.

I'm pretty sure that , depending on how much chili I eat, my ass could be outlawed by that piece of tripe (for god's sake, whatever you do, no open flames behind the fat guy!)

These jackasses have to be kidding.

I bought a battery powered sprinkler timer at Home Depot to water our garden. If this passes I will be a F'ing felon in waiting. And HD will be a dealer in WMD.

Anybody with a programmable thermostat in you house? You know the type being promoted to save you money and the country energy; You'll be a felon too.

Does anybody in the legislature even think about the implications of their legislation before they introduce it?

I have heat lamps for reptiles on a timer. Does that make me a criminal now?
