    Default Criminal Modes of Carry

What are the most common ways for criminals to carry? What is the best indicator someone gives to show they are carrying concealed? What type of guns do they normally carry, and how often do they accidentally reveal?

I guess that mexican carry is the most common if I had to guess. Followed by pocket carry.

I once read an article in one of my classes about criminals carrying, and how they posture their body/hands/arms to basically mask the area where a gun is being concealed.

Guns, they probably carry 38 snubs and little pocket guns like p32's.

    any insight on this?

I think it would be rare to see a criminal to be carrying a larger caliber. But these days I would not be surprised. I would expect a pocket carry for a smaller gun, and a butt crack carry, or a front waistband for a larger one. There is also the coin pocket carry. You know the smaller 5th pocket on a pair of jeans, fits a large caliber very well.

Look for someone CONSTANTLY touching/adjusting one area of the waistband. With no holster and pants that fall without the use of rope causes the gun to shift and even once I saw one fall down the pants leg and hit the ground...

I've read many times that assaualt weapons are the preferred weapon of criminals and gangs, so they must all be wearing trench coats and shoulder harness.

Stay away from anyone wearing a trench coat in the PA summer.
