Default Whats the skinny on the AA2 Shotgun?

Whats the skinny on the AA12 Shotgun? It looks like a M16 on steroids but its a auto shotgun made for the military. It looks awesome in the demo seen om Modern weapon on the cable channel and Youtube demos. It's a awesome 12 gauge shotgun that with a drum magazine can shoot 30 rounds of 12 gauges mini bombs???

Anybody own one or heard of this amazing shotgun? Whats does it cost?

I don't think it's out of R&D yet. However, this is an automatic weapon manufactured after 1986, so it's likely that the public will not be able to own one as per the FOPA.

    As Chamberedround pointed out..

They are pretty much still in R&D, and full automatic - which the full auto part prevents civil ownership of a FA made after 1986. ...which means no-one will ever own one legally unless its semi-auto. Which then as a semi-auto, the ATF and US Attorney General will most likely rule it to be a Destructive Device citing the designs of the USAS-12 and Striker-12 making the semi version a NFA device.

And the manufacturer has said that they would not put out a semi-auto only version.

As far as it becoming a DD? It would take an order from the attorney general which hasn't happened since the Clinton era. The most recent clamp down was on people who were remaking the USAS-12 on a new receiver using old parts. As far as the 30 round drum mag semi-auto shotgun argument? Wraithmaker makes a 30rd drum for the Saiga-12, MD arms makes the MD-20 that works and also Promag makes a 20 and 12 round drum.

The Frag-12 rounds would be cool to have though

*Note: I think the OP typo'd the title & probably meant AA12?

I know this is an old thread but this update video below popped up in my feed & I found it fascinating even though I have zero interest in shotguns.

The spas 12 should have been full auto. That AA is one ugly mother.

There were some semiautomatic aa12 out there but the atf declared them MG. https://www.primerpeak.com/atf-confiscating-aa-12/
