Default Handled the Remmington 1911 today.

New Holland Sportsmans Shop just got one in. I stop by every Friday to see what came in as far as used guns go but sometimes look at new anyway. The Remmington 1911 feels like a quality pistol. I wasnt in love with the almost "shiny" blued finish though. Retail price was 629. When someone gets one post a review.

Price does not strike me as being horrible.

How does "feels like quality" translate to shooting? I get what you mean, and I know they wouldnt let you put 500 rounds down range with it, but still. I would hope they put out a quality product, but I think my 1911 needs will still be better served elsewhere.
Jeff Cooper was a huge supporter of gun games, when he was winning them at least...

Used guns are thin but new stuff, especially long guns, are well stocked.

I like the look of it. Very simple.

I will be sure to keep an eye out at the range. Hopefully someone will be willing to share there new toy!

I got to fondle one at Gordons Sports Supply in Eagle. The dealer told me I got to see the first one in stock in Chester County. It was a little lighter than I'm used to for a 1911, but the price was right. It may have a niche market for 1911 lovers who want something a little lighter for their everyday carry.
