Default Completed training where we did a Hogan's Alley.

My wife and I just completed Level 3 training at Tripoli's Triggers. Two guys canceled so it was only the two of us.

The first thing we did was a Hogan's Alley. It is an indoor range. All the lights were turned off. We had to shoot using our flashlights and double tap. Only a couple were easy to tell right away to shoot or not. The first one was a pregnant women, with a gun pointed at you. The last one was a dog moving toward us from 25 yards.

I did not shoot any non-bad guys but my wife shot a guy with a beer in his hand. So now no one can drink beer at our house. We had trained practicing shooting with a flashlight last training. But thinking and shooting, I found myself getting hits but they were lower than I wanted. The trainer said not to worry about it. Any hit was a good hit and practice using a flashlight more.

The other part of the training was cover and concealment. Showed us how you can see more of the bad guy and he can not see you as much if you do not crowd concealment. We had to shoot close to the concealment due to the shooting lanes. He had us leaning right and left. Standing first shot than kneeling the next. When we leaned left we shot left handed.

It was alot of fun. Level 4 is more advanced tactical shooting. Car jackings and shooting from the draw among others. We can not wait but know we need to practice more of what we just learned.

    sounds fun and quite productive.

simulators are a great training tool. other than FoF, the best training tool, imho.
