A troll has been spouting off all kinds of crap in several forums devoted to suppressors lately. Don't pay any attention to him.

For a second I forgot what forum I was on and thought you were talking about postage.

For the record, the Transfer Taxes ($200 for NFA items other than AOW, $5 for AOW) were set by Congress back in 1934 with the NFA Act. To raise those taxes requires "an act of Congress," just like passing a Health Care bill. Neither the Director of the BATFE nor anyone else including the President has the stautory authority to raise the transfer tax amounts. Only Congress has the authority to levy taxes.

This nothing to do with arf.com. Someone trolled a bunch of boards with this disinformation. The troll got shot down there just like he did everywhere else.

Just don't tell Congress that they can raise the stamp price...last time I checked they like to line their pockets as much as possible.
