    Default Benelli M4 Tactical

Any reason not to buy this gun? Anyone have a better suggestion for a similiar type of semi auto shotgun? Been really wanting one of these and checked one out in person today. Benelli is having a $200 mail in rebate through the end of July on this model.

Looking for some opinions and feedback from owners or users of this model.

    Thanks!

    Mike

I don't have one but a friend of mine does.

It feeds and cycles ANY ammo.

I've got an M-1014, which is just an M4 with a fancy stock.

    Benelli is world class.

Thanks for the replys! I know it's pricey but I just cant find a better tactical shotgun for the money, which is why I started this thread. These things are hard to find, can only find a couple online and 1 local, pricing all about the same...

If you're in Pittsburgh then try Gander Mountain in West Mifflin. I was just there this past weekend visiting the gunsmith to have my Benelli Nova drilled and tapped and they have one. I don't honestly know the price off hand because I know the M4 is completely and utterly out of my price range so I didn't even look at the price tag, I just wanted to stare and drool a bit. They're really nice people out there too. Give them a call at 412 653 7300.

Gas operated and when the Marine Corps went to them they wouldnt cycle non lethal rounds, but other than that... AWEDSOME!!! you can laod 9 rounds up (have to buy a longer tube) and fire all 9 accuratly before the first empty shell hits the ground. would LOVE to have one or three of them!

I have an M1S90 HK imported Benelli and it's fantastic.

Regarding the mag extension and if you use a collapsible stock, please read the following:

BEWARE that BATFE just addressed this question at the ATF Importers Conference last week. It is a 922r violation according to ATF to reconfigure the Benelli M4 Super 90 with the mag tube extension and retractable pistol grip stock. That is why Benelli does not sell those parts for civilian use. Someone in the crowd asked ATF "If anyone had been prosecuted for such a violation". I don't recall them ever answering the question which in itself is concerning.

This is from someone who was at the ATF conference.
