    Default Win. 1200 Slide Release

I have a Winchester 1200 that I am dressing up to go tacticool. The only complaint I have with this shotgun is that the slide release button is very small and hard to hit. I find myself looking for it.

Do they make a bigger button that I can have put on? If I can find a bigger slide release, I will love this shotgun. It is looking good. Just want to make sure it can function just as cool if it is needed.

I dont know of any on the market for the 1200/1300/FN Police.

Practice with it. You will get much better with it in time.

The good news is that I can't think off hand any reason why you would need to use the release when the shit is hitting the fan. If you pull the trigger and it goes click instead of bang, you can pump out the dud without using the release.

It is really only used to open the chamber on an empty gun, or use it to empty a loaded chamber. Both are done when it is safe to take your time and locate the release.

But I promise you will get much better with it as you go. Before long, you wont be able to remember where the release button is on a Remington 870.

    What Buckmark said,

I have a 1200 with an 18in barrel(bought it from Stubby's shop) that was a police trade in... I replace the wood stock and grips with Fiber pistol grips etc.

The button can be hard to find, but after using it for a while it has become easier.

Note I also have a 1200 that has all the nice wood and a 28 inch barrel for hunting, so I do have experience with this model..
